Our forecast-led gritting service provides a fully managed approach, whilst salt bin provision is suitable for organisations that want to monitor conditions and carry out treatment themselves. How do you decide when a site needs gritting?
For forecast-led gritting contracts, we monitor Met Office OpenSite forecasts alongside the activation criteria agreed for your site. This allows us to consider factors such as ground temperatures, frost, rainfall and freezing precipitation and deploy our local teams when treatment is required.
What records do you provide for completed gritting work?
Our gritting vehicles can be GPS tracked, creating a digital record of attendance and movement around your site. Depending on your service arrangement, we can also record information such as treatment times, areas covered, salt quantities and site notes, providing a traceable history of winter maintenance activity.
